Have you ever wanted to help people less fortunate and make a real difference in your community but felt your own personal or professional situation was too overwhelming to help someone else? This is an inspiring short story of a Cuban born American’s struggle against the odds to find purpose and true meaning in life. In 1961, Albert Puig’s family fled from the social-political upheaval caused by Castro’s communist revolution. The odds were stacked against their family and with many others they were forced to leave their country, all they owned and flee for their lives as political refugees. By God’s grace, the United States offered them both safety and a brand new start in Miami, Florida. The Puig family settled there, and with the help of their new country and faith based organizations, they found new hope, freedom and unlimited opportunities.
In the 1980’s, Albert and Patricia, his wife, moved to Grapevine, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. It was during a challenging time in their young professional and personal life that he met a man that shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that he understood and believed. Since that day, his family and others have been blessed. Out of these significant challenges, ARPCO Transport Services was launched and is now celebrating its 22nd anniversary
In 1988, ARPCO became a unique
"Business with a Market Place Ministry".
- Their Business is dedicated to third party transportation & logistics solutions. We arrange the safe and legal OTR (over the road) & Intermodal transportation of B2B (business to business) shipments nationwide. We adhere to a strict code of ethics and operate within the guide lines and regulations as set forth by the DOT/FMCSA. ARPCO is a member of the TIA and PC10 certified.
- Their Mission is unique because it facilitates the transportation of domestic LTL and Truckload donations between donor organizations /Businesses and recipient community charities, missions and food distribution centers nationwide.
There is no shortage of food in America, yet there is hunger. There are wonderful organizations /Businesses across America that willingly donate food, clothing, medical supplies and many other commodities to help the needy, Many times the food and clothing are in a different part of the country from where they are needed. The problem is lack of donated transportation.” ARPCO has facilitated hundreds of goodwill loads through the hard work and dedication of their team members and partners. Albert believes God has placed him in a position to help facilitate the transportation of donated goods.
According to biblical principle, we are to help those less fortunate: the homeless, widowed, orphaned and the aged. Loads are transported for all faith based and charitable organizations such as:
Feed the Children, Harvesting International Ministries, Creation Evidence Museum, GRACE, The Red Cross, Global Assistance, Operation Care Dallas, Hunger Plus and many others.
The transportation & Logistics industry has it within its ability to make a real difference in the lives of others - "do we dare to care?"
